Carburizing da nitriding dukkansu suna da mahimmanci wajen taurare saman a fannin ƙarfe, tare da bambance-bambance masu zuwa:
Ka'idojin Tsarin Aiki

Carburizing: Ya ƙunshi dumama ƙarfe mai ƙarancin carbon ko ƙarfe mai ƙarancin carbon a cikin matsakaici mai wadataccen carbon a wani zafin jiki. Tushen carbon yana rugujewa don samar da ƙwayoyin carbon masu aiki, waɗanda saman ƙarfe ke sha kuma suna yaɗuwa a ciki, wanda ke ƙara yawan carbon ɗin da ke cikin saman ƙarfe.
Nitriding: Tsarin barin ƙwayoyin nitrogen masu aiki su ratsa saman ƙarfe a wani zafin jiki, suna samar da layin nitride. Kwayoyin nitrogen suna amsawa da abubuwan da ke haɗa ƙarfe don ƙirƙirar nitrides masu ƙarfi da juriya ga lalacewa.
Zafin Tsarin da Lokaci

Carburizing: Zafin jiki gabaɗaya yana tsakanin 850°C da 950°C. Tsarin yana ɗaukar lokaci mai tsawo, yawanci awanni da yawa zuwa da dama, ya danganta da zurfin da ake buƙata na layin carburized.
Nitriding: Zafin jiki yana da ƙasa kaɗan, yawanci tsakanin 500°C da 600°C. Lokacin kuma yana da tsawo amma ya fi na carburising, yawanci yana ɗaukar sa'o'i da yawa zuwa ɗaruruwan sa'o'i.

Carburizing: Taurin saman ƙarfe na iya kaiwa 58-64 HRC bayan an yi amfani da carburetion, wanda ke nuna tauri mai yawa da juriya ga lalacewa.
Nitriding: Taurin saman ƙarfe na iya kaiwa 1000-1200 HV bayan nitriding, wanda ya fi na carburetion girma, tare da juriyar lalacewa mafi kyau.

Carburizing: Yana iya inganta ƙarfin gajiyar ƙarfe, musamman a lanƙwasawa da gajiyar juyawa.
Nitriding: Hakanan yana iya ƙara ƙarfin gajiyar ƙarfe, amma tasirin yana da rauni fiye da na carburising.

Carburizing: Juriyar tsatsa bayan yin amfani da carburizing ba ta da kyau.
Nitriding: Ana samar da wani kauri mai kauri na nitride a saman karfe bayan an yi nitride, wanda hakan ke samar da juriya ga tsatsa.

• Rashin Amfani: Zafin da ke cikin injin yana da yawa, wanda zai iya haifar da lalacewar sassa cikin sauƙi. Ana buƙatar maganin zafi kamar kashe wuta bayan an yi amfani da injin, wanda hakan ke ƙara sarkakiyar aikin.
Nitriding

•: Zafin nitriding yana da ƙasa, wanda ke haifar da ƙarancin lalacewar sassa. Yana iya samun ƙarfi mai yawa, juriya mai kyau ga lalacewa da juriya ga tsatsa. Babu buƙatar kashewa bayan nitriding, wanda hakan ke sauƙaƙa aikin.
Rashin amfani: Tsarin nitride siriri ne, tare da ƙarancin ƙarfin ɗaukar kaya. Lokacin nitride yana da tsawo kuma farashin yana da yawa.
